About McMaster Custom Tack

McMaster Custom Tack is a small family owned business operated by Jennifer McMaster. Jennifer has been in the horse industry now for over 25 years. She started out riding ponies at the age of 4. She spent the majority of her childhood at a local facility where she was dropped off and left to ride for the entire day. She started learning how to barrel race, and that was that! She found her sport! What more could a little girl want!! This went on for several years and she soon outgrew the ponies and moved up to the horses. By this time at the age of 12, she already won her first Championship for Barrel Racing. Jennifer ended up inheriting the 500 acre horse property from Mr. Poole. Jennifer's parents invested much of their time and money into turning the empty land into a boarding facility for other families too. At the age of 15, Jennifer not only cared for her own horses, but she also had the job of feeding and cleaning stalls for some of the boarders.

Being an avid Barrel Racer since the age of 5, at 15, Jennifer was tired of never being able to find Cool Tack at the local tack shops, so she Designed and manufactured her own custom nylon tack. You could say this was an excellent business for her when she was younger. Most of her Friends, and Competitors, had to have tack just like hers, so business was always good at the local shows.

After being out of the industry for a few years, Jennifer decided to reopen her tack business in 2000, and pick up where she left off. Since then, the business has grown, and now offers saddles and tack from only the best manufactures available.

Now Jennifer also hand makes tack from scratch - All customized to the buyers desires. She buys full cowhides, cuts out the design she needs, then stitches it, and accents it with whatever color the customer would like. She only uses the BEST QUALITY - Leather, Swarovski Crystals, Hardware, and other materials that are available on the market today.

On another note, Jennifer also has a wonderful 6 year old boy named Justin. He is a true Blessing from God. He loves to help out around the store (mostly talking to the people who come in, and playing with the Crystals.)
